Maddie, would you just go to sleep?

Last night in the middle of blogging, I heard a scream like I have never heard before. It was Maddie in her crib scared like you wouldn't believe, she was inconsolable for the longest time. I finally put her in bed with me, she took a while to calm down, then went to sleep and was up and down all night. I think maybe she was over tired because she didn't get a nap, but needless to say, Mommy didn't get much sleep last night. Amanda seems to be doing better. Kenzie on the other hand wouldn't go home with my mom tonight. She started screaming when I went to drop her off and said "I don't like her!" and "I won't go to Nana's house! I go to Aunt Candy and Uncle Punk's house!" We don't know what the problem was, but while Mom was still with me, I called Candy and arranged for her to watch Kenzie tomorrow and Maddie went to Mom's. I don't know what has gotten into Kenzie lately, but she did the same thing last weekend, so Ryan went to Mom's and picked the girls up on Saturday instead of Sunday. I am not sure what has happened but she hates going to Nana's house now. I wish I knew what to do to make her feel like she isn't going there as a punishment but because Mommy and Daddy have to work. I have tried everything I know to try. If you have any suggestions, please e mail me. If you don't have my e mail, comment me here, I will take any and all suggestions anyone has! Other than that we moved and split some daffodils today and I will continue splitting them until I get through all of them. There are so many, I might put a bunch around the mailbox and use the stargazer lillies somewhere else since after all I probably have 2 or 3 hundred of the daffodils. I will be giving some to Mom, my Nana, and my Aunt Sharon. I think they will all love them. I have started working on the round flowerbed in my front yard. I will be getting one burning bush for in the center of it. I love those. They are so beautiful in the fall. They turn blood red! So, when I get some of the rest of the stuff moved in there, I will post pictures so you can see the difference. Ryan worked on helping me clean out the flowerbeds today. Such a good helper! He also had a doctors appointment for a consultation for a vasectamy! Yes, we are finished in the baby making game. We knew it when Maddie was born, but we had to decide who was getting sterilized. We had the consultation and decided it was better for him to get it done, so now we are just waiting for the appointment. Minor outpatient surgery, but that is ok. I think he will do fine! And that is it. bye bye

Kenzie's day at school

Kenzie got off of the bus screaming, "Mom it snowed!" It was so cute. Then when I got into her backpack, I found her daily sheet with this on it... Kenzie had wrote her name (not perfect but she tried) and a note from the teacher above it saying "INDEPENDENT WRITING-- ONLY VERBAL PROMPTS!" I am so excited for her! We are definately getting somewhere. Then under the teacher comments part, I find... "SHE CAME IN TELLING ME IT WAS SNOWING-- SUPER EXCITED!" I too saw this when she got home! Construction Zone Newsletter Week 2 Dear Family, This week Kenzie will learn about solving problems. Using the topic "Build with Me," we will read stories about building things and working together to solve problems. You can help your child learn more by talking with him/her about things she/he is doing at school and the new letters and words that he/she is learning. Here are some ways that you can work with your child at home. Think and Talk: What did y...

And WINTER is here!

I look out the window to see.... A BLANKET OF SNOW! It is covering my driveway, walkway, yard.... and we are expecting more this week! I think it is safe to say that winter has finally decided to come! Don't get me wrong, snow is pretty, but I don't like it because that means I have to drive in dangerous conditions! I would much rather be driving in tropical storm force winds and rain (I have done this! When all the hurricanes were going through Florida a couple of years ago!). Now on to other things... Saturday: I had a really busy day. I was at work and didn't think it would ever end. Admissions and falls and sending people to the hospital... stabalizing others and stuff that goes on in the health care centers all the time. Sunday: Zach forgot to add me back into the schedule, so I got off at 2pm. Rode home with Maxx since he lives in Jeffersonville and Ryan and the girls were going to be at his house anyway. When we got there we watched a little of the game an...
