OK SO I DID IT!

After months of consideration, and talking to my HR director, and Nursing supervisor, I have decided to do a tuition reimbursement program through work to gain my Bachelors Degree in Health Care Management. So, I will be starting school next month. I am only taking one course the first term, so I will be able to get back into the swing of things. It is called PROSEMINAR. It is basically a writing class. So, the bad news is that it is only offered on Wednesday nights, but I really need to get started, so I have to take the opportunity to go on and further my education to better me and my family. Then after the first term, I can take my classes online. I can also opt to take them oncampus if I want to. After I get the degree, I will be able to obtain a job that will enable me to be home with my kids on the weekends. And by the time that I do this, I may even be able to have the kids in daycare the days that Ryan and I both work. Which is only 2 days a week! Yay! Can't wait to get into college and get it all done! So now that you know what I am up to the rest of the family:

Kenzie: just got home from school. she is happy for now. They did the letter q this week. I will post the song in a few minutes for you all.

Maddie: is talking up a storm. She even told her cup "I love you" it sounded like "iyubu" was so cute. She also taught herself how to eat dry cereal with a spoon. I usually eat dry cereal with my fingers, but she wanted a spoon, so I let her go with it.

Ryan is at work and having an ok day.

So, that is the cox family update for now.

School is OUT!!!

Today was bittersweet for me.  I am happy its summer break, but that means we only have 2 years before we have a MIDDLESCHOOLER!  I cant believe we are that close already!  Both girls had a great day.  I got soaked walking to get Madispn, then the rain slacked off enough for me to have buckets of sweat rolling into my eyes!  It has been so humid here that i sweat as soon as i go outside let alone walk the more than 1/2 mile to her school.  We are starting a new walking track tomorrow... not sure how far but its gonna be fun to see

sad but true

Since the Pledge of Allegiance and The Lord's Prayer are not allowed in most public schools anymore Because the word "God" is mentioned...... A kid in Arizona wrote the attached NEW School prayer: Now I sit me down in school Where praying is against the rule For this great nation under God Finds mention of Him very odd. If Scripture now the class recites, It violates the Bill of Rights. And anytime my head I bow Becomes a Federal matter now. Our hair can be purple, orange or green, That's no offense; it's a freedom scene. The law is specific, the law is precise. Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice. For praying in a public hall Might offend someone with no faith at all. In silence alone we must meditate, God's name is prohibited by the state. We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks. They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible. To quote the Good Book makes me liable. We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,...
