I just had an eye opening experience...

So, I have been doing the yo yo thing when it comes to dieting... I'll do the healthy food thing for a while and then not. Well, a friend of mine suggested that I do this website that is a food journal thing. Well, it suggests that to be at the weight I want to get to, I need to loose a pound a week. That's entirely healthy. So, I started journaling my food today, and even with making a bowl of homemade veggie soup (with ramen noodles in it) I still have to find a way to get up to 1870 calories per day. This is going to be a challenge for me as I don't eat breakfast on a regular basis. I know that my body is in starvation mode, and I have to coach it out of there. I will do this!!! I will be doing a weigh in on Wednesdays at 10 am. This way I can kind of keep track of my weight better and see where I need to improve. In addition to a food journal, this site also does an exercise journal, I am going to be taking advantage of that too. In fact, I am finishing up my bestie's laundry for her, getting dressed in shorts and a t shirt, and then heading to the park with her for some walking time. I need to get in 1/2-1 hour a day 5 days a week. Hope that within a month I can up it to jogging/running. Any tips you may have that might be helpful are welcome!

Now for the rest of the family: maddie was feelign ill yesterday, but is on top of her game today. kenzie went to school. who knows what she will be doing today. ryan is doing good. and that's about it for now... see you all later!

Kenzie's day at school

Kenzie got off of the bus screaming, "Mom it snowed!" It was so cute. Then when I got into her backpack, I found her daily sheet with this on it... Kenzie had wrote her name (not perfect but she tried) and a note from the teacher above it saying "INDEPENDENT WRITING-- ONLY VERBAL PROMPTS!" I am so excited for her! We are definately getting somewhere. Then under the teacher comments part, I find... "SHE CAME IN TELLING ME IT WAS SNOWING-- SUPER EXCITED!" I too saw this when she got home! Construction Zone Newsletter Week 2 Dear Family, This week Kenzie will learn about solving problems. Using the topic "Build with Me," we will read stories about building things and working together to solve problems. You can help your child learn more by talking with him/her about things she/he is doing at school and the new letters and words that he/she is learning. And WINTER is here!

I look out the window to see.... A BLANKET OF SNOW! It is covering my driveway, walkway, yard.... and we are expecting more this week! I think it is safe to say that winter has finally decided to come! Don't get me wrong, snow is pretty, but I don't like it because that means I have to drive in dangerous conditions! I would much rather be driving in tropical storm force winds and rain (I have done this! When all the hurricanes were going through Florida a couple of years ago!). Now on to other things... Saturday: I had a really busy day. I was at work and didn't think it would ever end. Admissions and falls and sending people to the hospital... stabalizing others and stuff that goes on in the health care centers all the time. Sunday: Zach forgot to add me back into the schedule, so I got off at 2pm. Rode home with Maxx since he lives in Jeffersonville and Ryan and the girls were going to be at his house anyway. When we got there we watched a little of the game an...
