Cox Family Happenings....

Last night Tammy came over along with Quinton (Q-tip) and Arajuana (Q-tip's girlfriend) for a visit since we haven't really seen them in a while. We really enjoyed visiting with us. Dustin, Q-tip, Tammy and I all reminisced about the things that happened when we were kids and the things we used to do. I heard about Q-tip being chased as a baby by a cyote! Scary! And Tammy and the boys removing the valve stem things from our father's truck... It was great visiting. I got in bed about 1:30 this morning. Today, Maddie has done great. She even started trying to sing to me. Kenzie keeps asking me when she gets to start going back to school. Joshua has been an absolute prince today. Dustin was off work so he and Candice just tried to relax most of the day. Ryan worked and now that we are all home, Ryan is going to help me set up the den to turn it into a playroom for the kids. See if we do this, Kenzie won't be waking Maddie up when she is napping from playing in her room (Maddie's room is next to Kenzie's and Kenzie gets loud when playing) so that is why I want the playroom. It appears that Mom wants the girls this weekend. We will see what happens there. The car seems to be working better here lately. Candice is trying to help me decide what I want to do with all the rooms in the house. I noticed today that Fiesta came out with a new color. It is called evergreen and I LOVE IT! I will be telling Ryan to go get it for me for our anniversary soon. I can't believe that in a couple of months we will be married for 5 years. It really doesn't seem like we have been together for 7 years, but we have. Wow! Anyway, enough of me going on and on. How are all of you doing? Hopefully well. From what I hear Amanda is doing much better!

  1. The time does fly. I am glad that we were apart now. If we weren't there would never have been a Maddie or Kenzie. They are truly a gift.

I did miss you every single day. And I loved you more.

Yes, the Cyote story was true, and yes, I belted it with a cast iron skillet. What can I say? It was after my Baby Boy!

Kenzie's day at school

Kenzie got off of the bus screaming, "Mom it snowed!" It was so cute. Then when I got into her backpack, I found her daily sheet with this on it... Kenzie had wrote her name (not perfect but she tried) and a note from the teacher above it saying "INDEPENDENT WRITING-- ONLY VERBAL PROMPTS!" I am so excited for her! We are definately getting somewhere. Then under the teacher comments part, I find... "SHE CAME IN TELLING ME IT WAS SNOWING-- SUPER EXCITED!" I too saw this when she got home! Construction Zone Newsletter Week 2 Dear Family, This week Kenzie will learn about solving problems. Using the topic "Build with Me," we will read stories about building things and working together to solve problems. You can help your child learn more by talking with him/her about things she/he is doing at school and the new letters and words that he/she is learning. Here are some ways that you can work with your child at home. Think and Talk: What did y...

And WINTER is here!

I look out the window to see.... A BLANKET OF SNOW! It is covering my driveway, walkway, yard.... and we are expecting more this week! I think it is safe to say that winter has finally decided to come! Don't get me wrong, snow is pretty, but I don't like it because that means I have to drive in dangerous conditions! I would much rather be driving in tropical storm force winds and rain (I have done this! When all the hurricanes were going through Florida a couple of years ago!). Now on to other things... Saturday: I had a really busy day. I was at work and didn't think it would ever end. Admissions and falls and sending people to the hospital... stabalizing others and stuff that goes on in the health care centers all the time. Sunday: Zach forgot to add me back into the schedule, so I got off at 2pm. Rode home with Maxx since he lives in Jeffersonville and Ryan and the girls were going to be at his house anyway. When we got there we watched a little of the game an...
