Today, I was having a very bad day. I couldn't get anything done. I just felt like Kenzie was the enemy. She wouldn't listen to a word I said. She was slamming doors and beating on the walls when Maddie was trying to nap because she wanted her sissy awake and playing. I finally got fed up with it, and , well, I took the doors off of the hinges. It was so funny. Kenzie looked at the door laying across my bed and just sat there quietly for about an hour knowing that Mommy meant business, and then she started listening to me for a while. Then Daddy came home and well, lets just say that Kenzie told on Mommy! Daddy went and looked, then laughed because when he was a child, his dad did the same thing to his Mom! Needless to say, we told his parents and they just had a good laugh about it. Anyway, that pretty much sums up our day. I will get pics when I get a chance.
Kenzie got off of the bus screaming, "Mom it snowed!" It was so cute. Then when I got into her backpack, I found her daily sheet with this on it... Kenzie had wrote her name (not perfect but she tried) and a note from the teacher above it saying "INDEPENDENT WRITING-- ONLY VERBAL PROMPTS!" I am so excited for her! We are definately getting somewhere. Then under the teacher comments part, I find... "SHE CAME IN TELLING ME IT WAS SNOWING-- SUPER EXCITED!" I too saw this when she got home!
